Homecoming Court Applications are now available on gorebs.org. To be eligible, candidates must complete all steps outlined in the packet by today at 5:00 PM. See Mrs. Pittard in the library if you have any questions. 

Auditions for singers and musicians are MONDAY in the choir room at 4:00. You should prepare two songs to perform for the judges. One must be from a list of selected songs and the other is your choice of song. The selected song list is posted to both the Rebel Choir and the Homecoming pages on gorebs. org. There are also hard copies available in the choir room and in Kreb. (1202a)

Attention student council members and anyone hoping to join student council, there will be a meeting on Tuesday September 5th @ 6:30 pm in the WMHS library.  Please see Mrs Jones in room 4208 or Mrs Nix in room 3105 if you can’t make the meeting but would like more Information.  

Hello Seniors,
We're so excited to have you back on campus, and we are looking forward to a great year! I am excited to share with you some opportunities to get a jumpstart on your Senior year. The following are some important dates for you. 

Seniors can APPLY to ULM for free by using the Code: GOODLUCK from now to mid-September. So if you are interested in applying to ULM don't hesitate to take advantage of this great opportunity! 

Copies of the Scholarship Newsletter and Coca-Cola Scholarship are now available in the Guidance Office and at gorebs.org. The Scholarship Newsletter includes scholarship opportunities that are due between August 18th - November 13th. And the Coca-Cola Scholarship Application is due by October 2nd! 

Today is the "Late" Registration Deadline for the September ACT. If you have not already registered for the Sept 9th ACT, you can still complete a "late" ACT registration online by this Friday at ACT.ORG. There is an additional late registration fee of $36 incurred for this option.  Or you can wait and  register for the October ACT instead. 

It is now time to sign up for the Biology Club if you are interested. Even if you were in the club last year you must reapply to be a part of this years club. To join, you must bring a donation for our local animal shelter. They are asking for puppy food, kitten food or cat litter to get signed up. Donations for the shelter are due by Sept 1st to Mrs. Knox in room 3109. Ask your science teacher for more information or for time to run your supplies down to Mrs. Knox.

Interact Club will have a meeting in the library this Tuesday at 6pm to discuss the decorations for this year's Homecoming Dance, pick a new club t-shirt, discuss our new membership drive and to elect new officers. This meeting is just for last year's members. More info is coming out next week about how to apply to be a new member of the Interact Club. 

Junior Civitans will have our first meeting on Tuesday, August 29th, at 3:15 in room 6206. This meeting is for anyone interested in joining and for returning members. All grade levels are invited. Junior Civitans is an international youth service organization dedicated to helping our school and community, with an emphasis on people with special needs and developmental disabilities. For more information, contact Mrs. Beach at katiebeach@opsb.net. 

You can now start signing up for Coach Osborne's driver's ed class online at gorebs.org.  Remember to click on online payments to find the class.  The class will start Wednesday after Labor Day weekend.  The cost is 295 and you must be 15 and posses a TIP Card.  Any questions come see me in the PE gym or cafeteria during lunch.

Today our wonderful cafeteria ladies are serving hamburgers, crispy chicken sandwhiches, chef salads and pizza. Remember, all students can eat breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria.
